Usually, hair is preferably used for hair transplantation at
the head. But sometimes patients do not have enough donor hair to get the
desired result. In these cases, it is possible to perform a body hair transplant,
the latter being very similar to the hair, in shape and quality. You can use
hair from the legs, belly, chest, back, armpits or even the face and use them for a hair transplant. If need
be, even beard hair can be considered as a donor material for a hair
transplant.
For some patients, body hair is the source of many thousands
of grafts. This vast area can be used as a donor area to achieve higher
capillary densities, fill in particularly large bald spots, or perform
corrections results that would not be possible for patients with little, no, or
insufficient donor hair on the head. The hairs are removed using the follicular
unit transplantation technique, so that the treatment does not leave a linear
scar. Body hair is usually transplanted as in traditional Hair Transplant In Lahore
methods.
Who
Is A Body Hair Transplant For?
As a general rule, for hair transplantation, donor hair is
taken and transplanted into the crown or side of the head. Patients for whom a
conventional transplant is not indicated do not usually have enough hair in the
donor area. When the insufficiency or absence of donor material results from a
hair loss or a previous hair transplant, it is impossible to perform a new
sample in the donor zone. The results of a hair transplant performed with donor
hair that does not have the necessary qualities are generally unsatisfactory;
this hair can only compensate for a small part of the hair loss and the
residual scars may be more visible.
